The Strategy
Advertising - Experience - Tourist Attraction
These days, CGI works for brands have become very popular on social media. However, they only exist on your social media feed as videos, with no opportunity to experience them on location. When I created this case study, I aimed to bring an innovative solution for tourists in a captivating way through a location-based AR experience. I created this content as a prototype for my location-based AR project tagged 'Creative Stations.'
The Execution
Creativity Stations are trigger signage boards placed around landmark or tourist-attraction locations. They allow you to experience AR content. When you come close to a trigger point, the experience will activate. Four different colors will appear phygitally (a combination of digital and physical environments). When the user picks one of the colors, the experience specific to that color will start. Each color represents a different creative category, including entertainment, retail (CPG food & beverage, beauty, or fashion), games, and art. In this sample, I demonstrated the content for the green color, which represents a gaming experience. This AR gaming experience was created specifically for Valentine's Day.
Social Media Content of the Experience and Feedback on the Content
A completely real AR game experience created specially for Valentine's Day at Big Ben Tower!
Do you think Princess Peach loves Mario?
Collect hearts and find out the princess's feelings.
As you know, I'm obsessed with AR and AI integration in location-based experiences, including art, games, and advertising. That's why I created this content specially for Valentine's Day. However, I never imagined a background sound by a street performer would be so fun and synchronize so well with the motions of the characters. Huge thanks to that lovely street performer musician who played near Big Ben Tower.
My first study in this field was at Tower Bridge, London. The second one was in Bursa, Turkey. This one was created at Big Ben Tower, London.
In the first one, I aimed to emphasize the utilization of AR and AI in art with AREAILISM at Tower Bridge through a zero-waste art gallery.
In the second one, I aimed to emphasize the utilization of AR and AI in OOH applications with Creativity Stations.
Now, I'd like to emphasize the integration concept of Creativity Stations with AREAILISM in a game trailer experience through this work.
